How to Make a Wedding Planner

Rather than purchasing a wedding planner from a bookstore, consider constructing your own wedding planner to suite your style and taste. Making you own wedding planner also allows you to emphasis the priorities that you hold in your wedding planner.

Begin with a 3-ring binder. Thickness may vary, but at least 1” is recommended. It is recommended to section the binder off using tabs labeled:

* Attendants

* Attire

* Body Care (hair, nails, etc)

* Cake

* Ceremony

* Honeymoon

* Flowers

* Invitations

* Photographer/Videographer

* Reception

* Any other sections you would like to include (wedding bands, save the date cards, etc.)

For each section, include a set of page protectors (found at any office goods store). These are handy to place anything into since the protector can be sealed to keep anything from slipping out. Items that you should include in the page protectors are:

* Receipts

* Notes from meetings with persons associated with the various aspects of your wedding

* Pictures of things that you would like to incorporate in your wedding

* Handouts and brochures that you have received that may be of interest

The receipts and meeting notes will be handy for future reference, both to keep up with your vendors and to remember certain things to take care of after the wedding (such as returning the cake stand to get your deposit back).

You are now on your way to an organized and stress free wedding!
