A Bridal Bouquet For Any Season

Picking a bouquet is not always as easy as some may think. There are many pallets of colors, a variety of greenery, and of course...the season. Like many brides, you may decide to chose your bouquet based upon the season of your wedding.

SPRING

When people envision Spring, they think of new life, green grass, budding tress, and the sweet aroma of flowers after a long winter. A Spring bouquet should be just as fresh and airy as the season itself. Soft greenery is usually the best pick for Spring. The light greens capture the "new" feeling we get in the Spring. The flowers themselves are most beautiful in pale tones of pastel. Pink, lilac, light blue, yellow, and white are dainty and perfect for Spring. Try using lilacs, tulips, and baby's breath for a perfect Spring bouquet.

SUMMER

The "Month of the Bride" falls into the Summer season. June, July and August overflow with brides who love the warmer air, and the bright sunshine that exists in the Summer. Summer bouquets explode with boldness. Brighter is the key word for Summer. Look for greenery that is a dark yet vibrant. Flowers in hot pink, bright yellow, red, purple, and even orange compliment the season. Sunflowers, gardenias, pansies and bright roses look beautiful in the Summer bouquet.

AUTUMN

Autumn is a season of richness and crispness. The colors of Autumn are unmistakable. An Autumn bouquet looks gorgeous when it mimics the season's magical hues. Think darker greenery for Autumn bouquets. If you want darker flowers, the light greens of Spring and the vibrant greens of Summer, will not compliment the flowers. Hosta leaves, thistles, berries, and even herbs set Autumn bouquets off wonderfully. Flowers are painted in deeper reds, oranges and yellows. Calla lilies, roses, hydrangea, and mums are all beautiful Fall flowers.

WINTER

Purity exudes from the white blanketed season of Winter. Winter is a magical time of holiday seasons and snow angels. A bride's Winter bouquet can easily fit into the storybook image of the season. Winter greenery is very dark and rich. Evergreen makes a beautiful addition to a bouquet. Flowers are also much richer and darker. Deep crimsons look spectacular under the glow of a candlelight. Winter white is another option. By using all white roses or cream roses, a bride can play upon the beautiful season. Accent the bouquet with dahlias and snowberries, and you will have a perfect white, but in season bouquet.
