Wedding Poems: Love (35)

Dreaming of that night.
Poem by Tara Lynn Thomas Ontario, Canada.

Every young girl dreams of finding her mister right,
And I believe that I found you that night.
The night we held hands and sat in the rain,
I knew I would never search for that man again.
The words you said were so magical and sweet,
With every look and whisper you swept me off my feet.
Now that we're planning our big day,
I can't help feeling this way;
I love you,
for every single dream you made come true.

I Will Not Settle
Poem by Chavonia Hughes

You said you would give me the sun and the moon...
and every single star in the sky, if only you could...But you can not, so you asked if I would settle instead for all of your love and nothing more. And I tell you this is something I can not do.

How can I settle when the fire that burns within me burns brighter then a thousand suns? And unlike the sun your love is not divided: sometimes
here and sometimes gone. The light of your love shines bright as the day in the eternal summer within my heart. With you I never know darkness, not even for a moment. Settling is something I can not do, for you love me and I will always love
you.

How can I settle when my love for you is more vast
then any ocean and you exert your power over my heart as the moon does to the sea? Although like the moon you are solid... you are my rock, and you
are distant and beautiful, and a mystery. Unlike the moon, you are warm and shine with your own inner light. And yes, you are distant, but you are always there for me. Settling is something I
can not do, for you love me and I will always love
you.

How can I settle when I could say "I Love You" as
many times as there are stars in the sky, and yet it still would not be enough? If yu were a star in the sky a million miles away, I would spend a
thousand life times searching for you. I would scour the nighttime sky and discover a way to fly,
to be with the one whose heart is pure and whose love is true. Although there are billions upon billions of stars, I would always know which of them you are, for you would be the brightest, the
most pure, The MOST beautiful of them all. So again I say settling is something I can not do, for I want nothing more then your love, I want nothing more then you. I love you.

I Wanna Be There
Poem by Thomas

I Wanna Be There...
I wanna be there everyday,
I wanna be there when you?re old and grey,
As long as we live,
I?ll give you everything that I can give,
?Cause I wanna be there,

I wanna be there to hold you when you cry,
I wanna be there and I will always try,
To dry your tears,
Throughout the years,
?Cause I wanna be there,

I wanna be there to see you smile,
Side by side past every mile,
We will travel down the road of life,
Through all of the chaos and the strife,
Together,
?Cause I wanna be there,

I wanna be there when nothing seems to be going right,
I wanna be there to comfort you and tell you that everything will be alright,
I will be there to tell you that everything will be okay,
Just as long as you let me stay,
With you,
?Cause I wanna be there,

I wanna be there through the good times and the bad,
I wanna be there through the happy times and the sad,
When everything else is falling apart,
Just remember that you?ll always have my heart,
Because I love you and I wanna be there.

Silence of the Night
Poem by R. Squires N.Y.

The moonlight shining throught the window,
lighting up the room with a light blue coloring,
the time seemed right,
the ring slipped onto her finger so perfectly,
the diamonds sparkled wildely,
silence over took the room,
she just starred at her hand,
a tear dripped from her eye,
she didnt say a thing just smiled,
then whispered "I love you"
