Wedding Poems: Love (68)

The Man In The Picture
Poem by Billie Jean Day

Sitting on the edge of a hill
Green grass surrounding me
Light breeze brushing my face
like a gentle kiss.
I watch the sky turn it's beautiful colors
as the sun goes down , I have an image in my mind
and a smile on my face.
Images of a man who makes me feel happy
Remembering how special he makes me feel
The laughter he has brought into my life
The way he makes my days feel like I never want them to end .
The love he has filled my heart with.
Then I think to myself , how can a woman be so lucky?
To have the man of her dreams that she has dreamt for since she was a child.
Hoping that I never lose him
and hoping I make him as happy as he has made me
One man inthis world holds my heart for eternity.
Though scary; It's a wonderful feeling
I take a deep breath and say aloud as a tear comes down my face:
" Thank you lord for you have given me my life and my dreams. Please lord , do not take this away from me for if you do I will lose my hopes , my dreams, my life, my happiness, and most important I will lose my heart forever.I love this man,, please watch over him , help me make him happy."
As I stood up and reached in my pocket I pulled out a picture of a man so perfect in everyway and that man whom I have devoted my life to .
The man in that picture was you!

Because of You
Poem by Tomora M'chelle

I can love once again,
only this time our hearts become
one.

Because of you,
I can still remember the first time we met,
how could I forget,
that special moment,
your loving embrace,
and we shared a special kiss,
now we're about to share a wedded bliss.

Our love for each other,
from this day forward,
will become stronger as our new life together,
begins.

May we stay this way for ever,
for this what I pray.

I love you
Poem by Lucy Harvey

YOU make me smile by simply looking into my eyes
YOU make me feel special by telling me I am beautiful
YOU make me feel loved because you would do anything for me

I WANT to watch you sleep
I WANT to spend every night in your arms
I WANT YOU

You are in my thoughts, my dreams and my deepest desires.

I LOVE your smile
I LOVE your eyes
I LOVE your kiss
I LOVE YOU

Dream Lover
Poem by Patrick W. Child, Jr.

Searching for what seems an eternity
For the lady of my dreams.

Do you enjoy being cared for,
Can you handle a man of affection,
One who is not afraid to show his true feelings?

Can you handle a gentlemen that would kiss only The palm of your hand on the first date and then
Slowly walk away after saying goodnight?

Do you like dark, quiet corners and intimate Conversation, can you handle a man who loves to Show public affection when with you?

Are you romantic enough to curl up and
Snuggle together on the couch watching a
Romantic movie without being intimate?

How would you feel if he called for no apparent
Reason but to say, I love you, I miss you and I am
Thinking about you?

Would you doubt him if he sent you roses "just
Because", or marvel at the fact he cared enough
To do just that?

How would you feel waking up with this man beside You,
Awakening you each morning with a soft yet subtle Kiss?

How would you feel if you knew, as he lay down Beside you, he was gazing at your beauty,
Wondering if you're dreaming about him?

I ask you, my dream lover, would you allow me the Honor
Of taking my hand and escorting you to a romantic
Candle lit dinner for two along the ocean shore?

May I have the honor of being a gentlemen and
Opening the car door for you?

And if it were to rain I would throw my coat down
On the ground for you to walk upon as to not
Get your exquisite feet wet.

Would you allow this chivalrous man the honor
Of walking proudly by your side while other men
Swoon over you?

If you are this lady, my dream lover, then search No
Further as I am one of the last few chivalrous Men.

I am not bragging or boasting,
Chivalry has not died; just has been merely put
Aside and forgotten by the "modern" world.

For my Princess
