My bright star

At times when i'm feeling down and low
I think of you and you alone
and I make a wish on one bright star
that you'll forever be just who you are
when I lay in bed late at night
I dream about a sparkling light
In it, I see your smiling face
and it makes me miss your warm embrace
I never imagined life as such
but being with you has given me so much
that nothing I could ever get
could ever replace the day we met

i tried to write a poem
about my love for you
so i could tell you how i feel
but i was'nt able to
i wanted you to know for sure
that i love you very much
and wanted words of poetry
your heart somehow to touch
i wanted you to know that i
adore you when you smile
and i always want to be with you
if only for a while
i hoped my poem would convey
what a part of me you are
and no matter where i may be now
thoughts of you are never far
my poem would have told you
of the joy inside my heart
and how it's always been since metting
but the poem that i hoped to write
will forever be unread
and you will never know my thoughts
or the things i might have said

when you read these words,
chances are i'll be setting here
thinking of you...
as i so often do.

i'll probably be smiling
one of those smiles that i always do
when thougts of you come my way.

when you read these few words,
i hope you'll think
just for a moment,
how much you mean to me,
and how much you always will.

and when you continue on with things
you need to be doing in your day,
smile a smile for me, and remember
that i'll be thinking of you still.

Can I hold onto this moment,
Forever in my heart?
Can I simply love you forever,
Like I have from the start?
You've become my reason for being,
My reason to shine.
You've become my life's blood,
In you I've found something divine.
What I was not looking for,
I found in you.
What I did not know I needed,
I found in your eyes of blue.
If what's between us now,
Is all we'll have for our lives,
I'll gladly live only in this moment,
Because of the love I see in your eyes.
