Wedding Poems: Love (19)

Falling IN Love
Poem by Jim Morton

I can see my reflection
in the blue of your eyes
like a bright harvest moon
in the October skies
and I feel like I?m outside
your heart, looking in
and I?m falling in love
with your sweetness, again...

you?re my only desire
and my reason to breathe
there?s no games left to play
nothing else up my sleeve
and the shortness of life
is a serious thing
and I?m falling in love
with the beauty you bring...

I can spend every day
in the comfort of you
I can treasure the years
of the whispers, so true
in the blink of an eye
it can all go away
so I?m falling in love
with my love....
every day....

it?s been heaven on earth
since your love looked my way..

My Prayers answered by You . .
Poem by Dolly Nairobi

I prayed to God last year,
To help guide me through this year,
I asked for sunshine to brighten my mornings
And strength to conquer my worries,
I asked for joy and peace in my soul
For comfort in my days of sorrow,
I asked for love to fill my heart
And hope that I'd be forever happy
For days of laughter
And that all these would forever be . . .

And I thought I was asking for too much,
I wondered in which order He'd make His grant
But I was patient and hopeful
For even one blessing received,
Was one more than I had,
Enough to lift me up and show that He cared,

But through His graciousness and kindness,
He gave me all these blessings at once,
I received an all-inclusive package
Even before the year begun,
With my requests all fully fitted

You see,
God sent me ?You?,
Donny,
And I have never been lonely since,
Never weak, scared, nor worried?
Always happy, loved and strong
And now, each day I live
Is full of joy and happiness,
Hope and love
Thanks to God for His kindness
Thanks to you for answering my prayer

I love you Donny,
My challenge is to bring into your life
Half as much as you have brought in mine.

Heart and Soul
Poem by Branden Finley

Your brown hair
makes me think of
chocolate ever so sweet.

Your grey-hazel eyes
tell me the truth of your
love and honesty.

Your beauty is uncomparable
to anything I've seen
in frame or by God's paint.

Your love is the truest
I've ever known,
you are my heart and soul.

Enchanted
Poem by Rachel D Fogle

He waits by the window, just hoping for the chance.
To see her walk by for one more glance.

He's spellbounded by her poise & captured by her smile,
Nothing could erase what's crept into his heart.

Enchanted he must be,
He laugh's to himself,
It's been years since he's felt this,
He must be nuts.

She stop's to cross the street, and he can see her face.
His breath stops, for it looks as if she's coming his way.
He races to the counter, not knowing what to say.
The next minute she's there, sitting in his chair.

She looks at him and smiles and says "It's been long enough."
We're no school-aged children, were grown up and in love."

Enchanted he know's he is now.
No cause for concern,
His love has stated her case.
And he's helpless to her words.

He walks to her side and takes her hand,
Looking down into that smile that he's known for so many years.
"We may be old my dear, but I guess your right."
"You've Enchanted me, and I'm helpless not to fight."

They leave his shop and lock the door,
Not caring who may see.
He tips his hat to the man next store and say's,
"Enchanted is me"
