My House of Love

If you looked inside my heart
Here is what you'd see,
A house of many rooms
Each full with love for thee.

If you opened up a door
And took a look inside,
You might find yourself amazed
At what I left outside.

I swept out all the pain
And the cobwebs of my past,
I opened all the windows
So the sun shines in at last.

No more the darkened shadows
That hid behind each door,
No more the angry demons
They're not welcome any more.

Instead when you look inside
I want for you to see,
A place of joy and happiness
And that brand new shiny key.

I changed the locks on my heart
So only you can come on in,
I've made my heart a happy place
Where our new love can begin.

Each room within my heart
Has been swept out clean you see,
No more broken hearts or lives
I got rid of that debris.

Now each room within my heart
Is fresh and shining clean,
Where only love is allowed
So peaceful and serene.

So come on in to my heart
Throw the windows open wide,
For in each room is so much love
I can't hold it all inside.

So each day I let a little out
Where it finds its way to you,
So you will know how much I care
And of my love so true.

And just so you'll always know
When love leads you home to me,
Each room with in my heart
Will be filled with love; eternally.

I have given you my soul and the key to my heart,
For the purpose of safekeeping, a promise to never part.

Only with you, my life I will spend
Loving you forever, until my days must end.

I have said those three little words so many times before,
Never have I meant it, and so much more.

I have found a friend I can truly trust,
A lover that will not cheat, and who I will forever lust.

Although, I try to hide it, my attitude may shine through,
Just always know it is not reflecting how I feel about you.

From day until night, through good times and fights,
The aim of my love will never lose its sight.

I will stand by your side no matter what the situation,
I will support your every dream with sincere admiration.

Each star I have wished upon, each eyelash blown, each prayer said at night while I was lying alone, I have asked for a love, one that is meant to be,
my countless efforts finally paid off, because God sent you to me.

Now at night when I pray, I have nothing left to ask for,
I have you, and I couldn?t ask for anything more.
