The Day
Poem by Legong
Today's a day of love not just for us,
But also for all of those who brought us here.
So please excuse us if we make a fuss
Over you, the ones we hold most dear.
In you we see the love we replicate
By joining on this day our separate lives.
Our choice was neither accident nor fate,
But homage to good husbands and sweet wives.
We look to you with gratitude and pride.
What joy this day to have you at our side
All Of My Life
Poem by Jean Roberts
The Words I do don't mean a thing if they are not from the heart.
To love, honor and obey is the road upon which the journey starts
All of my life I ve wanted to say those words
but only to the man I love.
All of my life I've asked the heavenly father from above ,
to send me the type of man that I could be proud of.
Finally, a man of character has come in to my life,
with high morals, principles, he has dignity and strife
I know God sent him to me because it feels so good and right.
I want mind saying the vows that were witten by the one who has all power,
I won't mind saying I will love honor and obey upon that cherished hour.
My heart will be over flowing with love , peace and joy,
because the words I Do are said to you and are easy to employ.
Thank you God for granting me the patience for this plight.
Thank you God for sending me the man I've wanted All of my Life!
Unitl Eternity
Poem by Glenda Kruse
Every night, when I watch you fall asleep, I thank the Lord for lending you to me, even though in my heart I know it won't be for eternity... There are so many things I love about you... It's like when the Lord made Adam, he meant for him to be more like you... That is why I thank the Lord for lending you to me, even though in my heart I know it won't be for eternity... At times, I do believe, that you were my Guardian Angel, sent from above and whom decided to be with me... I thank the Lord for lending you to me even though in my heart I know it won't be for eternity... Now I know that I don't ever want to let you go... And that is why, we have to prove to the Lord that our love will stay alive... And if we pray, each day, then maybe, some day, the Lord will see that we are meant to be together for eternity.
The Wedding Planner
Poem by Diana Hughes Near Cardiff
So the dates been set
But there's much to do yet
So much to organise
You barley have time to blink your eyes
There's the cake, the guests the dresses too
Oh there is so much to do!
The parties, the reception, the honeymoon
But the day will come round very soon
With your mother fussing with your hair
There are so many people every where
A hundred speeches torn apart
From your fathers practicing you know his off by heart
All your family are trying they're best
Though none of you can stop, can't stop for a rest
There's still the cars and the vicar to meet
Oh your all just rushed off your feet
Then there's the best man when will he ask?
Why for a man is it such a hard task?
There's still the church, the hymns and invites
You haven't had time to plan your hen and stag nights
You just know your not going to have enough time
What about the rings, the food and wine?
There's so many parcels at you door
At the postman last time you nearly swore!
Oh when will it be your big day?
You've been waiting for so long
You just hope everything will go as planned
SURELY nothing could go wrong!
