Wedding Poems: For the Couple (2)

A Perfect Love
Poem by Ryan Knight

Life begins for us all with nothing but love,
so perfect and full, that is given from above.
Then each of our paths differs from another
as we learn about love from a father and mother,
from brothers and sisters, family and friends.
In a world where nothing lasts we find love never ends.
So we travel a path searching for a perfect love
to share, like that which we receive from above.
It is truly a blessing when true love grows,
forming a union between two kindred souls.
And now that path leads us to a moment like this,
when a perfect love is pledged and sealed with a kiss.

True promises
Poem by Legong Singapore

Remember the day we met in our life,
Where words of promises were often spoken,
To be as one as husband and wife,
A promise to keep never to be unbroken,
As joyous this day will forever be,
Like sunrise and sunset as beautiful as they can ever be,
Let this day be a mark in your life,
When today i shall stand as his wife,
To the ring he placed on my hand,
For today in our life we make our stand,
No matter What stands in our way,
This two lives will be one;
On our wedding day.

On your wedding day
Poem by Kimberly Garey

I can't believe this day is finally here
I promised I wouldn't shed a tear
But here I am crying like a fool
I know he's what makes you whole
I know you're in love with this guy
I know he brings a sparkle to your eye
But I can't help but cry over this
Because he's marrying my big sis
I know things will still be the same
On this day that you will change your name
I know we'll still be the best of friends
We have promised to the end
I know that even though you're about to become his wife
I will always be a part of your life
But it just seems so scary
That you're about to get married
But when it's time to say I do
I will be here for you
As your sister, friend, and maid of honor
I support you in every way
As we stand here on your wedding day

On Your Special Day
Poem by Nicole Sovis

This poem is written from a deceased father or mother to their child on their wedding day...

On this special day of days
Although I cannot be here-
I send to you my warmest thoughts-
And in your heart you?ll feel me near.
I?ve watched you all throughout the years,
And I?ve heard and seen you grow-
I'm proud that you?re a part of me-
I just wanted you to know,
So think of me as you watch the hands
Of time spin quickly by-
And know that we will meet again-
In some bluer stretch of sky.
