I Do, I Will
Poem by Terence D. Leftridge
If I were to put to words, how you make me feel.
If I were to describe, how your smile is such a thrill.
If I had to own up, and confess my love is real.
Yes I do, and yes I will.
There's not a single word, that can hold it all in true.
Something that describes, how I feel when I'm with you.
Being with you forever, hoping to find a word or two.
Yes I will, and yes I do.
To build a heart, filled with strength, will get emotional.
To let my love grow for you, unconditional.
I will love, honor and cherish you, even after my life is through.
Yes I will, and yes I do.
I know I'll find a word, maybe during our pillow talk.
Our conversation is easy, like a Sunday morning walk.
Sharing my life, my love, until time is still.
Yes I do, yes I will.
Love
Poem by Kimberli Beck
Love can grow
in all kinds of weather
As long as it is
planted by two hearts together!
(Bride and Grooms Name)
(Date of Wedding)
I have done this verse in needlepoint and framed for several weddings we've attended. I add the names of the bride and groom as well as their wedding date. It makes a great keepsake.
For the Bride From a Bridesmaid
Poem by Megan
As you enter this wonderful new time in your life,
When you make Kevin lucky by becoming his wife,
I wish you all the happiness that the world can provide,
May good luck and fortune be always at your side.
May your marriage be happy, healthy and blessed,
Today and forever, I wish you nothing but the best.
The Kissing Game
Poem by Chris Pollock Toronto, Canada
Clinking your glasses will be a futile endeavor.
If you want these lovers to lock their lips together,
Instead of rhyme, poem, or song,
This newly minted couple needs to see how its done.
So stand up, kiss your wife, your lover, your friend,
Plant one on a stranger - it's all good in the end!
For with this game of lovers-see, lovers-do,
Dave and Julie will be just as amorous as you!
From My Heart To Yours
Poem by Lorraine Mun Yee Choo Canada
Friends will listen to you
Whether you're happy or sad.
Friends support and advise you
When you're feeling bad.
From a patient ear,
To a trusty shoulder.
Friendship everlasting
As strong as a boulder.
Wonderful, blissful times
Shared by both of you.
Now the day has come,
For you to say "I do".
Walking hand in hand,
Becoming husband and wife,
Starting a journey together,
Sharing a love-filled life.
Today you marry your best friend.
Your special day is here.
The day you celebrate your love
With those that you hold dear
Wedding Wishes From My Heart
Poem by Lorraine Mun Yee Choo Canada
You've found the one who completes you.
Butterflies in your stomach flutter away.
Today you announce your love to the world,
Cherishing every word you say.
It's said that love conquers all
No matter what life throws at you.
You've nurtured a never-ending bond
a strong love ignited by two.
With the fusing of your hearts,
An everlasting union starts.
Congratulations! I hereby convey,
Best wishes for your special day.
